Exteriors

What You Should Expect...
...from the painting contractor you
select to repaint your business or home

1. All surfaces to be painted should be thoroughly pressure washed and/or scraped to remove loose paint flakes. This step also helps new paint adhere to the existing surface.

2. Any mildew should be treated with solution to kill spores prior to pressure washing.

3. All rust should be scraped and primed with rust destroyer and rust inhibitor oil base paint.

4. Any loose caulking should be removed and recaulked. Any open gaps should be filled with new caulking.

5. All areas of loose paint should be scraped and a sealing solution be applied to all bare wood areas to assure proper adhesion of the new paint. This step also prevents future peeling in these areas.

6. Loose nails should be reset and reputtied as needed.

7. All windows, doors, walkways, roofs, lighting fixtures, etc., should be completely masked.

8. Only quality materials should be used. Quality materials give the best result and Last Longer.

9. The work should be done in a neat and professional manner by skilled craftsmen who are polite and friendly.

10. The entire area of the job should be left clean and tidy with plant pots, furniture, decorations, etc. put back in place.

 

Interiors

1. Your furniture, floors and carpets should be protected from start to finish by drop cloths or poly plastic.

2. All wood surfaces to be painted should be thoroughly washed with a mild detergent to remove dirt, grease, and mildew that may have accumulated over time.

3. Cracks in woodwork should be filled, sanded smooth, and primed.

4. Any loose paint on the walls should be removed by scraping and sanding.

5. All crayon marks, water stains, rust, or anything that bleeds through latex paint should be primed to seal out the stain.

6. Any holes or large cracks should be patched and re-textured to match existing texture.

7. Glossy surfaces should be dulled by sanding or undercoating to insure proper paint adhesion.

8. Only quality materials should be used. Quality materials give the best result and will Last Longer.

9. The work should be done in a neat and professional manner by skilled craftsmen who are polite and friendly.

10. There should be no paint on window panes, carpets, floors, or anything else not being painted.
